Assassin's Ball

If you are an assassin and alive at the time of the ball you must arrive by 9:00 pm or you will be eliminated from the game.

The third annual Assassin’s Ball will be held on November 21, 2009 at Isaac Hunter’s Oak City Tavern located at 112 Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, NC from 8pm-Midnight.

This tavern is not yet open to the public so assassins and guests are getting a privileged sneak peek. Be sure to become a member of their bar either via their website or at the Ball. Masks are encouraged but not required.


Admission to the Ball includes:

Dinner served from 8-9pm.

  • This round’s dinner menu includes burritos, pasta, curry and more!
  • Dinner is first come first serve so get there early if you want to feast on some fancy foods.

Free Drinks until they’re gone!

  • Spiked punch will be served as well as two varieties of home-brewed beer (Stiletto Pale and Golden Dagger) and a keg of your standard commercial lager.
  • If that’s not good enough, Isaac Hunter’s Oak City Tavern will have some “killer” drink specials for Raleigh Wars assassins and friends.

    • Please bring extra cash for tipping!

A showcase of local talent.

  • Fine Print (formerly Home of the Jones): a blues-rock/jam band from Greensboro, NC
  • Raspberry Ants: an indie/new wave band from Chapel Hill, NC
  • Lake Inferior: an indie/crunk-rock band from Chapel Hill, NC

Plus, the unveiling of this round's Game Master and an awards ceremony for the top assassins!

Rules for assassins who are still alive

  1. You must arrive at the ball by 9:00pm and check in or you will be eliminated from the game.
  2. Armed guards will ensure that no one is assassinated while checking in.
  3. No high powered water guns (Super Soakers for example) or water grenades are permitted. These items will be confiscated if found.
  4. If you shoot any innocent bystander you will be eliminated.
  5. Any disputes will be resolved by the tribunal council.
  6. The game ends at 10:00pm. If there are multiple assassin's left at that time the game will go into a top-secret sudden death mode, come prepared for anything.
  7. You may consider wearing a mask to the Ball since stealth will be important in this setting.
